ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Lily has been designing spaces for as long as she can remember, beginning with hand-drawn floor plans of her childhood bedroom and evolving into nearly two decades of experience across residential, corporate, and law firm interiors. Raised between Mexico City and San Miguel de Allende, she developed an early appreciation for layered, soulful spaces and a lasting love for antiques with real history. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from Texas State University and is both NCIDQ and CCIDC certified.

In 2014, Lily founded Vivo Design Studios, a dual-city practice rooted in San Diego and San Miguel de Allende. Her approach to design has been shaped as much by personal experience as professional training, particularly through building her family home in San Miguel, where she witnessed each stone hand-chiseled and every plaster detail carefully crafted by hand. That experience instilled a deep respect for craftsmanship, materiality, and the artistry behind meaningful spaces.

Lily approaches each client relationship as a trusted style advisor, someone deeply invested in getting it right, not just getting it done. She believes the most successful homes are those that feel collected rather than decorated, balancing beauty, comfort, and the realities of everyday life. A frequent traveler and mother of two, she knows firsthand that a well-designed space shapes how you feel every day. That conviction, that home should be as thoughtful and inspiring as anywhere you would choose to stay, is the foundation of everything Vivo creates.
